This piece was hollowed from a large round of European Holly (Ilex aquifolium), then pierced with an intersecting circular pattern that repeats 7 times around the circumference. Months of work went into the concept, design, and production of this magnificent vessel. The intersecting circular patterns on this large 9 inch hollow globe create more intricate, ever changing interference patterns as you move around the globe. The vessel is set into a hard maple base (Acer saccharinum) shaped into a pentagon with 5 enigmatic facial designs.
